Sacred Heart.

I know, I know, I am terribly behind on posts! I have been so busy you guys, I haven’t had a chance to catch up on my blog. Anyway, Here’s an awesome shoot I did with Daniel of DMR Depictions in November. I have always wanted to do a shoot inspired by Lady of Guadalupe and since the Day of the Dead was just a few days away we combined the two seamlessly. My mother loves Dia De los Muertos so that aspect of the shoot was more for her than for my own portfolio. Daniel gifted her a print when she was in town and she was so happy!

I picked the perfect dress for the shoot, the Femme Fatal dress by The Pretty Dress Company. I attached one of my vintage brooches of the Virgin Mary onto the bust of the dress. I then created my own head piece with fabric roses I had lying around, a few doilies, and some popsicle sticks. It was the best and easiest DIY ever and I am amazed at how beautiful it came out once I busted out my glitter gold spray paint. I wore a floral shawl I made a few years ago too. I didn’t have a veil so on the day of the shoot I ran into Savers and bought some fabric. To my surprise they also had a gorgeous gold cross necklace that was the perfect finishing touch to my outfit. Everything just fell into place. This is definitely one of my favorite shoots to date with Daniel but I love all the images we shoot together. Daniel and I understand each others creativity so we are able to bring each others visions to life. I hope you all love the images!
