NYFW 13: Bettie on the Bowery!
[Recording artist Mayra Veronica walking the runway in a new Bettie Page dress]
Hey loves! I know I have been MIA and totally delayed on a few posts but I have been battling a bad case of food poisoning for a few days and it has really set me back on things. I know many of you were worried but I am feeling much better now. Thank you so much for the well wishes<3
As most of you already know, Bettie Page Clothing just opened up a store here in NY on 303 Bowery. I was/am thrilled that they are now a part of my city and am so happy I got to be a part of their NYFW event. Finally, I bring to you, The Bettie on the Bowery Fashion show and perfume launch. And no, that snow storm didn’t stop us from putting on a good show! I was a little nervous that the storm would really put a damper on the event but was so delighted that the outcome was GREAT! The event was awesome, the models were adorable, the champagne was flowing, Chelsea Nenni was singing, and burly queen Tina Tassles was teasing!
I got to see it all as the blogger and model of the event. Me and the girls had so much fun getting our hair done by the talented hair stylists and MUA of Patricia field. It is nice to have people doll you up for a change and take a break from doing it yourself, especially when the stylists are so much fun! After that we had a quick rehearsal and just before you know it, it was SHOW TIME. Universal recording artist, Mayra Veronica, is the new spokesmodel for Bettie Page so she started and finished the show like a true veteran. We even walked the runway to one of her hit songs. The fashion show featured Bettie Page Clothing’s new collection that had crowds of girls taking their picks on the things they plan to purchase as soon as these pieces hit stores. We also got to sport some fabulous shoes courtesy of Ellie Shoes! There were two fashion shows that day and I was so happy that it went smoothly because many of us had beginners jitters. However, the models did such a great job and we all had such a great time! This wasn’t my first BPC runway show but I remember how nervous I was the first time I walked when I visited Mexico for the Bettie Page cruise. I have loved the owners of the brand ever since and am so excited I got to do it all over again here in NYC!
The icing on the cake was that so many of my readers (you all) showed up to the event and I am so happy I got to meet so many of you. It is really so amazing but no surprise to know that so many of you are so sweet, and that you all came, showed your support, and had a good ol time! I cannot wait till the next BPC event and hope to meet the rest of you!

Uggghhh, food poisoning sucks. I had it last month. Glad you’re feeling better. The show looked like a lot of fun. I may have to try and tempt my hubby to use a portion of the tax refund to head up to the San Francisco store and get his wifey a new dress.
Great post! This looked like a lot of fun and I love a lot of the dresses.
Thanks so much, darlin’!
