NYFW on overdrive.

NYFW was still on overdrive with a crazy line up of events my girl Ingrid and I were attending and the best part of it all was that we got to enjoy it all together. We started the day off by having lunch at the GQ lounge at the Dream Downtown hotel which was AMAZING by the way. After our amazing lunch we were off to Nolcha fashion week at Pier 59 for some runway shows that left us a bit under-stimulated. We weren’t really impressed with the show but still had a great time mingling with friends we saw there. I was especially glad to run into my dear friend Mary of Shopglamorous who sported one of her crown headpieces that had everyone in the room asking for one. I also bumped into Lindsey of the blog Black & Blond who is always so sweet. After Nolcha we were off to the Metropolitan Pavillion to see the Boy Meets Girl show starring Wycleff Jean, Cris Cab, and Ingrid’s friend Jarina De Marco. Ingrid was especially excited to attend this event as her long-time friend was performing (and what a performance that was!). The show was really great and we really enjoyed ourselves listening to Wycleff, Cris, and Jarina sing and play instruments. It was like one big giant party and it definitely kicked off our evening and gave us a second wind for my talented friend Omar Alexanders after party for his collection and collaboration with Butch Diva at the Thompson hotel. I was so stoked I was going to see all of my loves there like my favorite red-headed vixen Valissa Yoe who was DJing the event. We didn’t stay long as we were running around all day and were exhausted but it was nice to chill for a bit and say hi to all of my friends I haven’t seen in what seems like forever. It was definitely a NYFW day to remember. See photos and more details inside.Inimac on the beautiful steps of the Dream Downtown Hotel.
Girl looked AMAZING.I finally busted out a bumper bang and god did I miss it!Lunch was DELISH.Not a fan of diet anything but the bottle and straw was so cute!Bubble lights.I love these lamps!Off to the Pier!Inimac looking gorg while we wait for the show to start. My gal pal Mary! Some highlights of some designer creations at Nolcha.Walking to the train for our next pit stop I saw this beautiful Marilyn Monroe portrait on a window sill that kind of reminded me of Jayne Mansfield.Speaking of pinups, I wore a very vintage pinup get-up for my crazy day. I found this vintage Cadillac ad printed dress on ebay for just $10 and just had to have it because I love classic cars, especially Cadillac’s. I couldn’t wait to wear it for fashion week. It was comfortable, fit perfectly, and I had so many ideas on how to accessorize it.It was only right that I wear this dress with my Prada hot rod sunglasses. I even wore my new Cadillac necklace from Retro-a-go-go that my mother recently gifted me.Ironically my Cadillac emblem ring was a gift that was given to my mom that she passed over to me. It went so well with the necklace. My belt is something I thrifted in my teenage years at the Salvation Army.To set the tone I wore my Dolce and Gabbana candy apple pumps and my thrifted vintage blue hat luggage as a purse.Whilst killing time I just had to take a photo of Ini with this Vespa. We love vespas lol.

We were finally at the Style 360 Boy meets girl show.
Ingrid wore vintage as well, she always looks amazing in bold prints. I love her top and her Zara kitten heels.Backstage we got to wish Jarina good luck with her performance. She was so sweet and so pretty! And the show begins!
Wyclef Jean and Cris Cab. Cris can sing his assss offf.I watched Cris Cab sing as all of the girls on my side of the room melted. The runway show super casual but cute.Off to the Thompson! Our beautiful city skyline from the Thompson.
My sassy friend V on the 1’s and 2’s!

They both recently collaborated and created a wonderful collection. I am so happy for you both and wish you lots of success!Ini and I just before we bounced home to club bed with DJ pillows.

Good times!
