Duckie Brown RTW Spring 2013
Attention all punks and greasers! Duckie Brown’s, Steven Cox and Daniel Silver have created an avant-garde-English-punk ode to you for their Spring 2013 collection that just proves that you ain’t no square. Sadly this collection doesn’t benefit me in any way but as someone who LOVES menswear, DB makes me want to be a dude for a day just so I can sport some of these pieces. However, I love being a woman so being able to look at these hot tatted models in these rockabilly inspired pieces is good enough for me. I love that greaser bad boy look and god would I love to see it on the streets of NY instead of the hypebeast crap guys wear these days. There is just something so alluring about a gentleman who hasn’t lost his edge in a black leather bomber jacket, plaid pants, and oxfords. That wasn’t the only enticing look DB offered on the runway, they played with denim, leather, patchwork, and shapes showing the world a futuristic rockabilly punk look. This collection was definitely experimental, so some outfits didn’t really move me. However, it was the classic designs that stood out to me like a sore thumb, so I just went and picked some of my favorites to show you all. Ladies, keep a napkin by your computer screen because you might drool on your keyboard! Check out my favorite picks from the Duckie Brown collection inside!Photos by John Aquino for WWD.
