Karl Lagerfeld: The Little Black Jacket
The other day after working the Betsey Johnson sample sale I went off with my girl Christine to Karl Lagerfeld’s The Little Black Jacket exhibition in soho where we met up with her friend Tessa. This exhibition was a tribute to Chanel’s signature little black jacket, something the brand is well-known for. I absolutely adore Chanel and am actually glad I decided to go as it was the last day, plus I was able to spend a little time with 2 lovely fashionistas. The exhibition was awesome and I was in awe of the portraits Karl took of these celebrities, socialites, and models. Karl did a great job capturing all of their personalities and Carine Roitfeld did a great job styling them. My favorite print of the exhibit was of one of the models, her look was just so bad ass. I also loved Kelly Osbourne and Uma Thurmans portraits as well. It was a great exhibit and was so generous as everyone was able to take 3 prints home with them. What a lovely end to my work day. If you missed the exhibition, I took a few photos..Check it out inside!
I took a few shots of what I wore on this day starting with my accessories. I wore a vintage head scarf as a bow for my ponytail, silver vintage cat eye glasses with gold accents, and gold clip-on earrings. For makeup I gave myself a brown smokey eye. I wanted it to be more subtle but rolled with it. I also wore Mac’s Pinch me blush and faux nude lipstick. This is a pic I took of my outfit before I had help lol. Ah the life of a fashion blogger…lol
