NYFW: Lulu’s Style Studio and the Empire hotel!

It is New York fashion week and last friday I was invited to Lulu’s Style Studio event in Soho. I am realizing I love blogger events a little more than I love shows lol and I guess it is because it is more personal and I get to be inspired by people off the runway. I do like shows though, don’t get me wrong, I just love even more to be able to interact with people. I invited my aunt Alex to this event and we were in awe of the pretty decor Lulu created at this venue. There were flowers everywhere, faux grass on the ground, a water fountain, and tables full of pretty purple cupcakes and bottles courtesy of Hpnotiq. The place was flooded with fashion bloggers from all over the world mingling and networking whilst enjoying the great goodies that were being given away at makeup concessions. I actually bumped into a few people I already knew like my friends Danielle and Christina. I was so glad I got to see them as I haven’t had the chance to for a while. What made this event even more amazing is that we were given a ticket with a number and with it we were able to go into the Lulu boutique and take one item for free. There were clothes and bags everywhere and everyone was so excited once they got their turn to rummage through the goods. Danielle got a cute top and I think Christine got a purse. I managed to snag myself a really cool avant-garde red dress and my aunt found herself a cute jacket. We couldn’t have been more thankful for such a wonderful event. Lulu’s did such a great job bringing us bloggers together and made sure we all had a great time and left with wonderful goodies!

After Lulu’s I was going to go to Bloggers Night Out but took a detour to visit my friend Sheila at the Empire hotel for a small fashion show. That part of our night was kind of a buzz kill because the Empire hotel is bleh. If it wasn’t for my aunt and her fun personality, I would have went home right away. I enjoyed her company very much and realized how much I really miss my family. It was a really cool day. Check out more details inside!
Because I was doing a pinup look, I gave myself a classic Hollywood hairdo, red Stila lips, a bold cat eye, and Mac “Pinch me” blush.I’ve been wearing Stop Staring all fashion week, I mean…how could I not? Stop Staring makes wonderful dresses that fit me perfectly and god do I feel amazing in them. This one is one of my favorites because it has a classic color and style to it. The color kind of reminded me of Chanel so I wore my Chanel pearl platform pumps with it. To spice it up I also wore my Agent Provocateur “Whip me” stockings and because I am a bag lady I brought along my favorite Betsey Johnson spectator satchel I have had for years. I kept the accessories light with vintage pearl earrings and a small bracelet to match my shoes. How amazing is this dress?Love these Agent Provocateur “Whip me” stockings. I have had them forever and they have held up nicely. My aunt looked AMAZING in a lace dress, House of Holland tights, black boots, lace gloves, and a classic Chanel purse. This woman was so inspiring growing up. I wanted all of her clothes lol. Still do!She looked great!Look how pretty the tables were! Crystals, gum balls, rock candy, and cupcakes! All of my favorite things thanks to Hpnotiq!I am guessing there was a spin the wheel game before I got there.Michael Antonio shoes were displayed and to my surprise we all got a certificate for a free complimentary pair in our lulu goody bag! I snagged some fierce wedges like the leopard ones you see here. This is my friend Christine whom I bumped into shortly after arriving. I was sooo happy to see her! Christine has a really amazing blog, you should all check it out.How cute was her outfit!Christine introduced me to the lovely Tessa, another fashion blogger who looked fabulous for Lulu’s style studio event.
Women shopping for their free item of choice. Frenzy!
The clothing racks all had categories, my favorite was Orchid Vixen and Vintage Vixen of course.
As I was shopping for my free item I bumped into my girl Danielle! I LOVE this woman and couldn’t be happier to see her! She is another one of my favorite bloggers/writers!She found a cute top!My aunt and I found a bunch of stuff and couldn’t wait to try them on. Consolidating was so hard lol!I had to go with this red dress. It was red, sexy, and backless! Perfect for Valentines day! Sorry for the red-eye haha.My aunt ended up going with an awesome frayed plaid jacket. Something versatile and a staple for her wardrobe. Our Lulu bags were full to capacity by the time we left lolWhat a good time! Off to the Empire hotel!A designer named Kahri had a cute fashion show at the empire hotel. These are some of the outfits that stood out to me.This is the designer, I liked her outfit too.It was nice to relax after our day with the view of the city behind us.We also walked around looking at the paintings they had there.after that it was dancing time 😀A close-up of my stockings and my purse.Good times!
