A Morir Por Event at the Fresthetic shop!

The Fresthetic shop is one of my favorite shops in Brooklyn. They have the best cultured merchandise and events. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to attend their “A Morir Por” event because I am obsessed with Mexican culture and the day of the dead. Of course I attended the event in Dia De los Muertos fashion with half of my face painted like a sugar skull and half like a pin-up. I dressed up as Dia De los Muertos last year for Halloween so I couldn’t wait to do it again. The A Morir Por event was amazing, the art work was beautiful and the pastries were delish thanks to Eddie Soto who is the master mind behind the event along with Randy Quiles who runs the Fresthetic shop. Randy created all of the Dia De los Muertos images that you see on the wall and Eddie created the bags and tops. It was the perfect collaboration of two creative minds who created a fun and successful event. Here are some images by Randy, Hippie Cervantes, and myself. So beautiful!

love this little shrine.

Day of the dead all over, even my top!

Eddie socializing, I am almost positive she probably is asking him for the recipe to his red velvet cupcakes.

That’s Jerely, a cute pin-up that was at the event!

Bad to the BONE.

This man is the jack of allll trades..his baking/designing skills are ridiculous.

Happy lil pompadour.

I wanted them all!

I might need to start doing this makeup more often;)

This girl was so sweet!

My mom and my sister came as well. I also invited my friend Andrea.

My lovely sis and my lovely friend Andrea.

MANY of these died in my tummy that night.

I love the Muertos prints!

  2. This stuff is amazing! I love Mexican culture, specially Dia de los Muertos and la Llorona. I did my Masters thesis on la Llorona, that’s how much I’m infatuated!

I can’t wait to actually experience a Dia de los Muertos, or at least, see the decorations. I’m going to try to go to Mexico and New Mexico next year with my boyfriend in October…we’ll see how that works out.
