I cannot tell you how excited I get when I come across really amazing vintage reproduction brands like Collectif that capture the essence of mid-century fashion so seamlessly. I should win this because I would rock it soso hard! I love Collectif because of the same reasons you do! Sometimes I find it can be difficult to find a vintage reproduction brand that is truly emulating the style but still bringing it up to current trends to make it all the more desireable! For my look I was inspired by Dolce and Gabanna SS2012 collection with the bright prints and also taking on a rockabilly twist with key rockabilly pieces in pop colours

I think I should won this dress because im a slim petite lady big in to the rockabilly scene. Its a colourful dress that you can wear in the day . And at night dress it up with a flower in the hair and some nice heals with some nice jewellery. I can see myself on a nice summers day wearing it plus on holidays

I´m on a journy to a slimmer me, and have lost 25kilos and one of my goals were to be able to buy a fitted dress from Collectif. So if i win this, it would be like the ising on the cake for me!

I think that I should win because this Saturday (the 10th) is my birthday and I’m actually having a hawaiian birthday party! Dressing up, making tiki drinks, playing my hawaiian records and cranking the heat (I do live in Canada after all). There may even be some canned ham involved.
Winning this dress might also help me get over my winter blues and the fact that I had to cancel my trip to VLV!

I should win the dress cos I have struggled with my style all my life (am in my 40′s) and have only just realised that all the cool fashion from the 40′s and 50′s suits me to a tee – have finally found my clothing identity and with it my new found confidence – and a renewed zest for life … I just need the clothes now to complete my transformation from boring to beautiful – thanks collectif x

I’d love to win this dream! The reason why I think that I should win is that I’ve recently lost a significant amount of weight (almost 80lbs now) and just have a little farther to go. Size 10 in Collectif is exactly the size that I’m aiming for so this would be the perfect dress for me when I reach my goal! I can’t tell you how amazing it would be to have that dress and be able to fit in it well.
I love the colors in the dress and the vintage inspired style. I’ve always wanted to have a beautiful wardrobe (especially filled with rockabilly/pin-up type dresses) but I really let myself go at my highest weight. Currently I don’t have much at all in terms of clothes that fit because I’ve been trying to wait until I finish losing weight to buy them, which means that most of my clothes are baggy and cover up my new body. However, since I’m quite close to my goal weight I’ve been thinking more and more about what I’d like when I get there and Collectif is definitely at the top of my list!
I also wanted to thank you for introducing me to polyvore, I’ve never heard of it before but I really had a blast creating my dream Hawaiian outfit!

Well, I’m no designer, but here’s my entry into the Vintage Vandalism Collectif contest. I just discovered this contest yesterday and have been putting together bits and pieces. I’ve got a couple of mix-and-match options there.
