Ted D”Ottavio has shot many famous burlesque performers, and many who have become famous from just having him take their picture. What makes him special is his vivid imagination, his ideas and visions are incredible. Ted and I hit it off very quickly because our ideas went hand in hand for this photo shoot. It was one of the best photo shoot experiences Ive ever had because he was awesome and I was able to be myself. I could let my creativity go wild and have it be appreciated.
I did my own hair, makeup, and wardrobe. All of the outfits are straight from my closet. I mixed a lot of my Agent Provocateur pieces with my vintage pieces and the results were remarkable. I added a little bit of pinup in there, but I wanted to bring something different to the pinup scene, so I added modern pieces to the looks along with an edgier character theme.

About vintagevandalizm
My name is Jasmin Rodriguez also known as Vintage Vandalizm. I am an avid collector of vintage dresses and most people know me for my style. I am also an artist and I try to incorporate all aspects of art in everything that I do. I am an aspiring Designer and I plan to take over the fashion world with my limitless imagination. My whole philosophy on fashion has always been to think outside of the box. My style has no boundaries but I have commonly taken inspiration from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. I love the pinup culture and style however I love being versatile so most of the time I like to clash opposites, different genres of history and fashion and somehow, someway, I make it work. I think the world is too fixated on trends that people tend to forget who they are and what they like..I’m here to help you break free, to help you stand out, to help you create your own style, be your own person, and most importantly see fashion in a whole different light.
i love it! you look amazing girl!
love the new pics—cigarettes and beer =)
the last one reminds me of what i thought when i thought to name my blog “a blue light on the avenue”…it was in remembrance my affinity for the blues and jazz era–i heard it on a song u2 did for billie holiday: angel of harlem. that last pic makes me want to sing
“Blue light on the avenue
God knows they got to you
An empty glass, the lady sings
Eyes swollen like a bee sting
Blinded you lost your way
Through the side streets and the alleyways
Like a star exploding in the night
Falling to the city in broad daylight
An angel in Devil’s shoes
Salvation in the blues”
btw, thanks for adding me to your blogroll–made me smile =)
xoxo
